Just got back from a trip to Tampa where the weather was awesome.  Here are a few cell phone shots from my walk on the beach.  Fine white sand, cool blue green water.  It is the place to be in the winter...

Last night the boy and his dog laid by the fire.



One more reason why I need this copy editing course - just spent the past few looking up the difference between lay and lie (leaving out to not tell the truth).  According to Grammar Girl - "Lay Down Sally" is wrong.  It should be Lie Down Sally.  She says?  Remember it by the dorky phrase - "Lay it on me."  But did that really answer my past tense question?  It did not.  Hmmmph!



Frozen Waves

You know it's cold when the sea freezes.  A super low tide and icy rocks coated by shivering waves.  Charlie even broke off a few icicles - and tasted one of them.  Mmmm, salty.

So glad we had on our snow gear.  It was so cold the lady slippers (Charlie calls them sweet meats from his summer beach adventures in old fashioned crabbing) were slipping right out of their shells, frozen in time.

Bath Time

Last night at bathtime, Charlie said, "I am ashamed of my nakedness."

I said, "Well, you know, everyone is naked under their clothes."

Hehe.
