Goodbye Tommy

Goodbye Tommy TomTom.  You've been a good GPS.  Sure you mislead me into Bayonne on my winter's trek from the Cape to Tampa, I simply considered it Memory Lane and circled around.  Mostly you took me where I needed to go.  There's no way I could ever find Arlington alone.

Until we meet again,

Spooky After School Snack

Some days I like to get Charlie a treat.  Today I was in Windfall Market and saw some really cute Halloween cookies.  Charlie liked his but decided to modify - with gummy brains.  Mmmmmm.

Mo Willems' Blog

Click the next sentence and be teleported over to an entry on Mo Willems blog.  The book tour showing Mrs. Mulkeen's class!  It shows Charlie's class!  But Charlie is behind the little girl, Abbey, who is clasping her hands in prayer - pretty cute!  Even if Charlie isn't visible in it.

Happy Pig Day, Mrs. Mulkeen!

As I said before, Happy Pig Day!  This is the official photo - the kids were so excited.  (So were the adults).

Picture Day at Soccer

Today was picture day for soccer.  When the photographer was taking the team photo I said, "wait, where's Charlie?"  He had taken himself out of the photo.

Nuh uh.

I threatened to take away tv, computer, and games and here is what we got...the professional ones will be in in a few weeks.

Today was a busy one...registered for Basketball and reserved a spot for Charlie's birthday party, bought a Cub Scout uniform at Puritan, sold popcorn in front of the Dollar Tree for Cub Scouts, went to soccer, and went to Nutcracker practice.  All with a migraine coming on.  What's on the schedule for tomorrow?  NOTHING.  Good.

Happy Pig Day!

Today Mo Willems visited the Falmouth Public Library and Charlie's class went to see him.  He read books, answered questions, and even brought along two characters - Pig and Elephant!  Oh, it was so much fun!  Mo brought a van and a team and they took Official pictures but included here are a few I snapped from alongside the tripod.

Phone Photos and Mini-SD

My cell phone has a camera - big deal right?  Doesn't every cell phone have a camera?  Mostly.

But my phone has this teeny little SD card that slides into a bigger SD card that fits into my computer, which I think is cool.

Here are the phone pictures that I have taken and deemed publishable - though that is a very loose term here.

Shopping for beach chairs - love the beach chair, never used the umbrella.

Where Mom and Dad took Grandma and Grandpa to tell them they were getting married.

The part of the beach between the seawall and the Tides Motel, waiting for JC to call.

Old Black Fly

An Old Favorite.  By Jim Aylesworth.  Illustrations by Stephen Gammell.

One of our favorite books.  We love the cadence - and practically sing it.  The illustrations are spectacular as well.

Old black fly's been
buzzin' around,
buzzin' around,
buzzin' around.
Old black fly's been
buzzin' around,
And he's had a very
busy bad day.

...

And I love the dedication:

To my brother Bill,
a legendary swatter of flies,
with love.   -- J.A.

Run and Stop

Baby Elle is on the move.  The pictures may be blurry but she sure is cute!

Rolling in the grass became a theme here, she was up and down again a few times.  Baby Elle is so much fun!

To the Vineyard

Yesterday... we headed to the Vineyard.  Took the Red Dog to the Black Dog and had brunch.  Then we poked around the various Red Dog shops before heading back to the Cape.

Chad got Charlie a puppy, of the stuffed variety.  Here's our day in pictures.
