Early Release and Picnic at Bowerman's Beach Club
Met Chad and the Ts (Linda, Nico, Talia, and Peter, later on) at Bowerman's Beach yesterday. Had a picnic after the post-school swim - or wade, for me. I love indian summer.
Here is the sunset from the Chappy parking lot.

Flowers from Stephani
Sent in memory of Gram. Aren't they beautiful?
I like the way they are illuminated by the morning sun.

Chalk Art - Before the Tree
Every year for the past few summers we have made a chalk sign along side of the driveway, then I have Charlie lean up against the tree and I attempt to take a few pictures of him. I guess maybe it has been three years running. Last year he was nearly impossible and ran around the tree to avoid the lens, this year he has been far more agreeable in terms of being photographed, guess he is learning that if he is to be a tv star he is going to have to deal with cameras. But whatever it is - I appreciate the change. Here is the boy with long flowing locks:
He since has had a bit of a trim, though not much.

First Grade - Day Two
From frown face, to smiley face, to on the bus, in three quarters (for ice cream). Sure hope he eats his big (BIG) salad first.
Charlie and Brandon
One of Charlie's very close friends from Kindergarten is Brandon. Well guess what - BRANDON is IN Charlie's first grade CLASS! But of course we knew this.
Here are a few pictures Miss Linda took of the two. Thanks Miss Linda!

Waiting for Charlie and Getting Home
School ends at 3:30. The buses take off at 3:40. I went outside at 3:45. Charlie arrived at 3:59. My camera entertained me on the front porch as I waited for Charlie in the rain...
LP - How was your day?
CP - Not so good.
LP - Uh oh, I thought. Oh, no? Why?
CP - Why do we have to go to school for 24 hours straight?
LP - Ohhhhhhh - it was a long day?
