Birthday Walk

Happy Birthday Mimi!

This morning Charlie, Rudy, and I decided to take Mimi on a birthday walk but by the time we got outside it had started to rain a little bit, so we came back in and got umbrellas.  And by the time we got back outside again, it had already stopped raining.  That didn't stop Charlie from carrying his. Plus he invented an emergency umbrella rescue boat outfitted with a water purification system.  What a kid.

Fun with Kindergarten Art.  Charlie chose to not color his beard, moustache (not pictured), and ears.  Wise choice my boy, wise choice.  A beautifully unmarred photo op.  And a FABULOUS job with scissors.  Do I detect a perfectionist?  I think so because when I was helping out at school today, he offered me advice how to do a better job cutting.

Polar Bear Plunge

Totally insane...considering I have been in a perpetual state of cold since October.  We just went down to watch, but Charlie says that next year - he wants to participate.  Uh, not me.  Sorry Charlie.  Maybe Aunt Mary and Uncle Wes?  Okay, maybe Uncle Wes?  Mary and I will hold the towels.
