On the Road
Day two of the drive south began with...SNOW! This Florida girl most definitely does not remember how to drive in snow so when the weather report stated snow, I packed and ran. No free breakfast, no shower - just get up and go! Luckily the snow didn't amount to much - either that or my plan worked and I missed it. But I did see MANY car accidents along the way. Seems like further south got some snow over night as the trees flanking the sides of 95 were a bit of a wonderland. Made the endless holiday tunes dominating the radiowaves appropriate.
Later, when the snow had passed - about North Carolina - Rudy graced me with his nuzzling look, but mostly he slept. Smart guy.
I must say he got very used to the hotel lifestyle. The bed was an absolute luxury as no doggies on the bed here. Guess it must be like the survey I heard of last summer where parents let their kids jump on the bed in hotels and NOT in their own homes. Oh, ownership does some amazing things to us.
And I am not sure what this is all about - either one of the pics in fact - above Rudy was acting strange, curled up against the headboard and on my head and eventually slid down and fell asleep. What that was all about I will never know...
As for Chaz, below - he was rediscovering his old toys and came across these glasses he got from Ryder. He insisted that they helped him see more clearly, adding, "I think I may need them." Uh-huh. He wore them in to his old daycare center to say hello - and also to Chic Fil A. He had no idea! What a spectacle he was.

Letter to a Soldier: Handmade Wishes
Breakfast with Friends
Can anyone say cold? These were taken before the Falmouth Christmas Parade. Michelle fed us Quiche and French Toast Casserole. Mmmm. Coffee. Fruit. (And limited amounts of mimosas due to Mass Blue Laws - who knew, not me apparently!)
Can you find the saw or the tee?

...and Chaz
Well, it seems today was the day for family portraits...and Chaz.
So somber. How ya gonna be a star with that mug? Hmmmm.

Thanksgiving on Cape Cod
Charlie, Rudy, and I spent the evening walking down Main Street. All the shops have their Christmas storefronts. We found a YoBaby! in one shop, Rudy decided he likes the Pampered Pooch, there are tables in the Bean and Cod, and our favorite way to make a Christmas window is to put twinkle lights under cotton - tah dah! Twinkle snow!
Oh and we learned that Kaleidoscope toys does NOT follow the rules. Their tree - hanging upside down from the ceiling! AND it's covered in toys!
And on a gross note - Rudy stepped in dead bunny on the walk home. Ugh. (Bless you Bunny.)

Holiday Faire at the Waldorf School of Cape Cod - the Sword in the Stone
A man in a purple cloak offered encouragement to young lads who were not sure they were strong enough to draw the sword from the stone. At first Charlie fell dramatically to the floor after attempting this feat. Upon hearing the man's advice he was able to succeed. His words to young squires - think of someone who gives strength to your arms and heart.
